asked at Navi safe on a regular basis. This page details

1.) Do you have to attach Navi light 360° to
a cap?
No, as a result of the unique Double Magnetic feature
of the Navi light you can attach Navi light to almost
anything anywhere.
But we recommend that you put the light on the highest
point. When you are walking or in a small boat your head
is the best place to put Navi light. You will be seen
from every angle and you will not at any point lose your
night vision.
2.) Do I have to use a special cap for attaching
Navi light 360°?
No, you don’t need a special cap. You can use almost
any cap, or the hood on your jacket.
3.) Why do you recommend wearing the light on
the head?
Your head is your highest point. Therefore you will be
seen from any angle. Also you will not be blinded by
the light. If you fall out of a boat and into the water
your head the only part of your body that is above water,
therefore your head is the best place to wear any light.
4.) How do I change batteries?
Hold the bottom and top of the Navi light in two hand
and simply just twist Navi light open to get access
to the batteries. Navi light requires 3x AAA-batteries.
The magnet is very strong. We recommend you take off
the extra magnet bracket before you twist open Navi light.
5.) How do I change LED bulbs
LED bulbs are designed to be sealed units with a usable
life of over 8000 hours. Navi light, like most LED
products, does not have changeable LEDs.
6.) Why is the Navi light 360° unique?
Navi light is unique because of its ability to give ultra
strong light 360°, steady light as well as emergency
blink. Navi light is made to be fastened almost everywhere,
it is waterproof, it will even float without the magnet
bracket. Navi light will continue to shine for 30 hours
on steady light and 5 days on emergency blink. Navi light is also easy to operate. Anyone or any age is
able to push the big “ON/OFF” button.
All of this is integrated into a design small enough
to carry Navi light in your pocket making Navi light
a unique lighting product.
7.) Does it float with the extra magnet bracket
attached?
No. Navi light floats without the bracket. This is to
prevent you from losing it if it is ripped of your jacket.
Navi light also functions exceptionally well as a man-over-board
light as it may be secured (magnetically) to a metal
surface and pulled off and thrown to the “man over
board” as a marker bouy.
8.) Is there a way of securing the light on
a cap?
Yes. If the cap is made for multiple sizes you can use
the strap that is included in the Navi light box to fasten
Navi light at the back of your cap. If you use a Navi
cap (available as part of our range of Navi products)
you can also fasten the cap to your jacket to make sure
you don´t lose your cap in heavy wind.
9.) How far in front of me will Navi light 360° light
up, when I am waking?
It will not light up more than 10-20 meters ahead of
you. Navi light is not a torch light, it is a light designed
to help you be seen not to see by, however if you are
just walking (not running) it provides and adequate light
source. The light will be visible up to 2000 metres away.
10.) Is it difficult to operate?
No, it is very simple. Navi light can be operated by
almost everyone of any age at any time, even with cold
fingers! A child, in total darkness, can push
the big “ON/OFF” button.
11.) Are there any competitor products on the
market?
Navi light is unique. Currently there is not any other
single product that can offer all the features of the
Navi light.
12.) Is there any other special attachment system
available?
Yes. We have launched in 2008 our new advanced attachment
systems. There are three different special attachment
systems, depending on what you want to fasten Navi light
to. Please refer to other pages of this website for more
information.
13.) What do you mean
by: No wire - No problem?
Navi light is a closed unit powered by its own batteries.
You don’t need any extra wire to use it. You
simply have to click it on where ever you need it.
No wire – no problems!
14.) Why do you recommend
to keep the Navi light 360° in your pocket?
Navi light is so small you can put it in your pocket.
When you keep it with you, you will always have access
to the light whenever it is needed. For example,
if your car breaks down, to light up a tent, to get attention
when you need help, etc… Anywhere you need light!
15.) Why did Navi light
360° receive a
design award?
In 2007 The Norwegian Design Council awarded Navi light
360° with the award “Design for all”.
Design for all, also known as universal design and inclusive
design, means developing products and environments that
are accessible to the largest number of people possible,
regardless of age and ability. You can read more about
Design for all at www.norskdesign.no/designforalle. To
win the award Navi light, amongst other things, had to
be practical, robust and easy to operate regardless of
the circumstances, even if your hands are really cold
or if you are in total darkness.
16.) What if there
is a problem?
We are proud of the products we make, we believe in the
quality of our products. However, we do understand
that sometimes there are unexpected problems therefore
your Navi safe products are guaranteed for a full year
and in the event of any problem we will be happy to
